1. Our role
Pets and Planes is a relocation coordinator. We arrange ground transport, documentation and customs clearance, and book air transport through licensed commercial carriers. We are not an air carrier and do not operate aircraft. All flights are performed by licensed commercial airlines and freight operators.
2. Quotes
Quotes are estimates based on the details you provide and the rates and regulations in effect at the time. Final pricing may change based on carrier availability, route changes, regulatory requirements, seasonal embargoes, or the accuracy of the measurements and breed information you supply.
3. Pet health and travel eligibility
You are responsible for providing accurate information about your pet's health, age, breed, temperament and vaccination history. Some breeds, ages and medical conditions may be subject to airline embargoes or country-specific restrictions. We will advise you, but eligibility for transport is ultimately determined by the carrier and the destination country.
4. Documentation
You are responsible for ensuring your pet's vaccinations, microchipping and health certificates meet the requirements of the origin, transit and destination countries. We will guide you through the requirements and, where possible, arrange endorsements on your behalf.
5. Payments and fees
Relocation fees are quoted in writing before any move begins. Third-party costs charged by carriers, customs authorities and veterinarians may be billed directly to you or invoiced through us as disclosed in your quote.
6. Cancellations
Cancellation terms depend on how far in advance you cancel and the commitments already made to carriers and authorities. Where we have incurred non-refundable third-party costs on your behalf, those costs may not be recoverable.
7. Carrier liability
During air transport, your pet is in the custody of the licensed commercial carrier. The carrier's conditions of carriage and applicable international conventions govern liability for loss, delay, injury or illness that occurs in transit. We will help you understand and, where applicable, file claims under those terms.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pets and Planes' liability as coordinator is limited to the fees we have charged for our coordination services, and does not extend to acts of carriers, authorities or other third parties.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date above reflects the most recent revision.
